Answers to Burning Questions
Not able to join a live session? Dan will regularly record answers to members' questions. Whether it’s “what varnish do you use?”, “how do I paint the sunlight breaking through the clouds?”or even “how do you lighten without using white paint,” members will learn something from Dan’s thoughtful and honest responses.

Part of Sharing the Journey is our supportive community of like-minded artists, all at different stages of their artistic growth but all with a common goal to be the very best artist they can be. Our private, online community offers a safe space (off social media) for feedback, advice, and artistic support from fellow artists.
MY STORY
Hi, I’m Daniel Gerhartz. Primarily an oil painter, I also enjoy working in pastels from time to time. For over 30 years, I’ve shared my passion for art through in-person workshops, and now I’m excited to invite you into my studio from anywhere in the world!
While I've been honored with many prestigious awards, what I’m most proud of is helping countless artists overcome their own painting challenges. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching for me is witnessing those transformative "AHA" moments when everything clicks for a student.
I look forward to helping you find your own "AHA" moment!

- Learning from the masters through LIVE copies: together we will discover how Master artists tackled issues of edges, values, and color in their works, and learn how to apply their techniques to elevate our own paintings.
- Monthly Live Group Critiques: You can submit a painting to be reviewed in a live group critique session. Watching critiques of others' work will greatly accelerate your own learning process.
- Regular Q&A sessions: I understand it’s not always possible to join a live session, so I make time regularly to answer questions and share the recordings with all members.
- Join a Safe Encouraging Community of like-minded artists with shared goals, supporting and encouraging one another as they grow together by exchanging ideas and sharing their work. Whether celebrating successes or navigating challenges, this is a space for authentic connection and inspiration on our artistic journeys.
